The Florida Infectious Disease Group, P.A. is devoted exclusively to evaluate and treat infectious diseases within its community. We are a group of internists specially trained in the prevention and treatment of Infectious Diseases. Our primary role is taking care of people with various infections. This includes such diseases as HIV, hepatitis B and C, MRSA, skin infections (wound care) and tropical diseases related to travel. We have unique expertise in syndromes like pneumonia, meningitis and conditions such as unexplained fevers. We help hospitals contain infectious outbreaks to safeguard the general public. Practicing Infectious Diseases requires expertise in microbiology, epidemiology, antibiotic use and pharmacology. As Infectious Disease specialists we spend a significant amount of time as hospital consultants, and provide outstanding service in the office. We have within our facility an Outpatient IV Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT), a valuable service which allows people to go home from the hospital sooner while still receiving high quality treatment. We also have specialty in Travel Medicine, which encompasses vaccinations, health advice for those going abroad as well as knowledge of parasitology. Whether you are an outpatient or a clinic patient you will have the opportunity to receive exceptional care from our physicians and nurses. We are committed to providing excellent care. Most of our patients are referred to us from other physicians, because they have confidence in the care we provide each patient uniquely as required by their medical needs.
